Photographer's Note

Aavasaksa is the hill that is the most southern and easiest to reach place where it's possible to enjoy midnight sun in Finland. It's located just south of the arctic circle, but as it's higher than its surroundings to the north, the sun doesn't go below the horizon in midsummer.

The place is famous of its midsummer parties and was one of the first places in Lapland with organised tourism. Not bad for a peak only 242 metres above the sea level!
