Photographer's Note
Historically, Porvoo has been an important centre of trade and the shore houses were once used to store goods and produce, such as exotic delicacies from distant lands.
After yesterdays upload of the riverfront of Porvoo, we can see here a closer look at the shorehouses.
Originally, the shore houses were painted red in honour of the arrival of Gustav III, the king of Sweden.

Hi Daniel,
Lovely wooden structures. They sure are an attraction at the water side. Good catch, fine calm atmosphere.
Have a good day.

Hi Daniel,
From the thumbnail, I could have sworn these were expensive high end river front houses, the subtle differences in their designs gives them that appearance and I think the fine deep red color helps with that also. I like the sliver of water in the scene too, it reflects the strong red color very nicely. Thanks for sharing.
All the best

Hello Daniel,
Another very attractive and extremely catchy photo. The red paint really makes the warehouses look great. The ladder and the two boats are very nice additions to the composition. A very good picture from Borgå, as we call it in Swedish.
KInd regards,
Gert

Hi Daniel,
You've really captured some great light conditions over this last run of pictures, they've all had a strong sense of warmth and appeal...and this is obviously no different! :) I like the idea to go in and frame this with a tight composition, it brings out such strong detail and texture. The dominant rustic red color is a beauty, especially with that touch of golden hue from the sun. Speaking of which, it does wonders for the stone wall seen below to light it up with clarity. Crisp, clean, and sharply focused from corner to corner. Great result! Have a nice day ahead.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hi Daniel
Beautiful colours and light!
I once spent three hours in the rain waiting for the light on the riverbank opposite these warehouses and never came up with a photo as good as this one. I really like the composition with the two boats and the ladder.
Best wishes

Hi Daniel
What a welcoming brilliant fiery stunning shot, the wooden style building with the traditional touch! I think you've captured the refinement in such vibrancy of mature red and its detail vividness. A subject waiting to be shot by smart keen eye and your skilful technique. My congrats, TFS
Best regards
