Photographer's Note

The roof of the restaurant Kappeli (Chapel) in the centre of Helsinki a dull December day. The restaurant was once frequently visited by artists. There are many stories how the restaurant got it's name. The best ones are probably just stories. ;-) Read a little more.

I just walked by with my family and spotted the different styles of the roof. And thought of the current scavenger hunt. The roof is easily accessible, this was shot from about 1m standing on the sidewalk on Eteläesplanadi. The roof is about level with eyeheight there.

I believe there are four different styles of roof here. First the glasroof (behind which we can see some breadbaskets from a bakery), the black roof (no idea what it is called in English), the green flat copper roof, and the cuploa in copper..

This is my fourth entry in the VIII scavenger hunt.

- Cropped
- Resized
- The original was a bit dull so I added quite a lot of contrast (+25)
- Framed with colors from the wall
