Photographer's Note

There's almost half a million holiday cottages in Finland. There's basically two kinds of them. Some are built as secondary homes, almost always by a lake or by the sea, sometimes with all modern amenities.
The other type is so called 'Granny's cottage', (mummonmökki in Finnish), dwelling of passed away grandparents or great grandparents. Often painted in red, and usually on less sought for location.
This is my third version of the same subject, earlier ones here and here.
