Photographer’s Note
A row of pedalboats waiting for some proper summer at Amager Strand.
This beach is the one closest to the city but since the water is rather shallow and the island Amager is too low-classed for some people it is not so populated as Bellevue north of Copenhagen.

Wonderful pattern of these pedalboats, Torben. I guess that it could be great also in colors, but I think that after all, I agree with the coice of b/w. The contrast is excellent with the bright lights and the shadows. I also like the curved lines, like waves. Very good shot.

I guess something is wrong finally..istanbul is 22 deg c now instead of a usual 35 deg of this time of the year..rain stopped but weather is very weird...
I liked the composition very much..though I hesitate to write frequently, you know I do..

Excellent graphism and B&W is the best choice here !
The curve made by the pedalboats is really nice and the range of greys impressive.
Maybe would it be perfect with a human element in the frame, but that's only my mind.
Congratulations, Torben, it's really an excellent image !

Very nice repetions here Torben. I also like the slightly curved and slanting line given by the repeated backrests. Summer seems to slow in Denmark too, Lines and your rainpictures and all the beach gear is idle ;o(

Very well spotted thos waterbikes - dosen't seams to much "run" on those, these days ;-) I like the curved line and repetive pattern.
Nice job Torben

very beautiful diagonal b&w. strong and, for me, brand new image (have never seen those pedalboats with such shape).
you haven´t asked, but except for some few days of pretty cold weather, temperatures have risen to +26C... :(( and it´s winter.
ohhh, i´ve tried a ws coz the frame is a bit too heavy for my taste. hope you don´t mind.
EDIT: ps: never a hint of the photographer?

Very nice handling of the light here, and the arch made by the boats makes a nice compo. Is it water on the seats? I'm actually really enjoying this summer.
Points tomorrow.

i wasn't quite sure what i was looking at until i read the note. very interesting! i like when a photo makes me think. my first thought was that they look like the machine at a bowling alley that retreives the bowling ball.
nice angle and good choice of black and white. very good eye, interesting shot. i like this a lot.

Very interesting pattern. Also good work on the BW especially the softness of the white areas (which I never can achieve). Again your photos remind me of a sci-fi film. In this case the 70's movie THX 1114 (I guess it's that number...)

Somehow I seem to have missed your work, Isabelle just directed me here, so I'll have an explore. This one struck most from the more recent thumbnails. Very fine capture.
