I think this photo doesn't need a detailed comment. It was taken in the harbour area of the Danish town Sonderborg.
Isn't it wonderful that the owner still decorates his house with flowers - in spite of what has been done to him ?

This is really an unbelievable architecture! These pretty and well kept small houses spoiled by he ugly concrete bridge above. What kind of planning is that?
Still, this is a very fine motive for the photographer and your picture here is full of fine colours and details (apart from the ugly bridge)!

Hallo Frank. Kleine, alte und liebevoll zurechtgemachte Häuschen, - und mitten hindurch diese häßliche Betonbrücke. Was für ein Kontrast. Diese einprägsame und realistische Aufnahme wird mir dauerhaft in Erinnerng bleiben. Es ist wirklich ein informatives Photo von Wert. Guten morgen lieber Frank,
Vieeeel besser als die gestrige Qualle, mit dem ich nur schlimmes in Erinnerungen habe; zu einem meinem Fernostreisen sah ich in einem bebilderten Menu (in Seoul) ein Teller voll mit Nudeln und bestellt ihn gleich. Dieser stellte sich aber danach als in Streifen geschnittene und gekochte Quallen aus !!
Die Blumendekoration ist ein Zeichen dafuer wie otimistisch der Hausbesitzer ist !

I think the owner painted his house in a vivid colour and decorated it with flowers just to make it more attractive next to the ugly concrete bridge.

Hello Frank,
What an amazing sight! I have seen lots of places like this in slummy areas of big Asian or African cities, but I had never imagined to find such a brutal city-planning in an idyllic Danish town. The effect is rather surrealistic.

Wow, wirklich ein beeindruckender Kontrast. Erinnert mich an deutsche Innenstädte, die ja nach dem 2. WK auch gerne von Autobahnen durchzogen wurden. Wirklich ein tolles Bild, das einerseits idyllisch, andererseits erschreckend wirkt.
