Photographer's Note

The first heavy rain in august and the tourist stampedo towards their homes begun. And what they had left? A FLIP FLOP! One.
Imagine that moment, 18°C, rain, wind, in small sandy isolated island, without any attractions around, only sea. One colorful flipflop against the gray and wet sand - one colorful season is ending, leaving place to more pleasant ones :-) This is my favorite weather, ouverture to my favorite seasons...

Why this subject on my photo? First, because it's colorful and everything around was so gray so that caught my attention. But primarly because, surfing through themes, I've made a list of themes I could use for inspiration and the flipflop theme was one of them. Thank you TrekEarthans for giving me inspiration.

You may find interesting this: in Croatian, we call a Flipflop - Japanke (yapanke [japanke]) - like the japanese in female. But when we joke, we call them Džpenke, like in English [dзə'pæn ke].
