Photographer's Note

The village of Ravda is situated at South Black Sea coast in the Burgas district, between the town of Nessebar and the village of Aheloy.
During communism, the Ravda area was a fishing village and the site of youth and student summer camps. In recent years, the town has experienced a building boom. Nowadays Ravda is almost bordering Nesebar and together with Sunny Beach resort and town of Sveti Vlas form a kind of large sea-side conglomeration - the Bulgarian Riviera.
There are several big hotels in Ravda and many private rooms and small family hotels, as well as a great number of restaurants and disco clubs.
The beaches are not as wide as in the nearby resort Sunny Beach, they are partly sandy and partly rocky, but the water in the Black Sea is warm and many tourists (mostly from Russia) come there for the whole summer.
