Hi Jaap,
Undoubtly this is a beautiful shot, but the composition needs some modification.
Wish you could step a few steps backwards, and then click this shot.
The shot demands that the upper end of the trees be visible, the presence of rainbow doesn't give the gurantee of a perfect shot.
Hope these words of criticism would encourage you to do more better.
Quality is definitely expected from a seasoned artist.

Hallo Jaap, de foto is mooi, met goed gesatureerde kleuren. Maar de 23 deelgemeenten liggen niet in het Groothertogdom zoals je in je nota zegt, maar wel in de Belgische provincie Luxemburg.

quand il s'agit de nous offrir de jolis ciels , tu es toujours là.
Preuve ici avec ce ciel menaçant très nuancé et cet arc-en-ciel bien saturé.
Un tout petit manque de netteté, mais je crois que cela fait partie de tes réglages et de ton style.

Les arc en ciels sont très fréquents en cet été pluvieux, cela fait le troisième que je publie aussi.
Intéressant point de vue avec l'avant plan vert qui s'accorde avec ce ciel dramatique.

Hi Jaap. That's funny that this is the second rainbow picture I've critiqued today with the first being from our friend Didi. Both were excellent but you having one here is more unexpected than what he had. I love the way you were able to utilize those trees in the foreground as well. Beautiful shot Jaap!

Maybe a vertical format would have been better here instead of cutting the trees.only maybe.
Anyway it`s a good shot with a well choosen foreground and I like the trianglr built by the fence.Good light and of course,the rainbow makes this composition perfect.

Hallo Jaap,

Wanneer men geen goed weer heeft tijdens zijn vakantie dan moet men het zoeken in de regenboog en de wolken aan de hemel, hier zijn beide goed aanwezig, met het klein kasteel tussen de bomen genomen, wat voor extra diepte zorgt, goede samenstelling aangenaam om naar te kijken. Mooi foto werk.

one more excellent capture beautiful nature without pollution as you say in your note.The splendid appearance of the rainbow over the exceptional landscape is well seen.The frame with the two trees in the foreground with the whitenss house in the background create a triangle, that lead on the eye on depth.Well done.

I'm never lucky enough to capture a rainbow. You have chosen your POV carefully to make use of the symmetry from the corner of the fence framed by the two trees. It's a shame you were unable to include the treetops too, but it is still a fine image.

Hello Jaap,
You composition is always perfect. You obviously put a great deal of thought into your images. The trees on each side of the frame and the evergreens framing the bottom portion of the frame are perfectly placed. The fence also acts like a framing device. You landscape photographs are always fabulous and are a testament to your long experience as an artist and photographer. The rainbow is the "icing on the cake". Outstanding work!

The immaculate framing with the trees, the dark clouds, the rainbow behind the houses & the grazing cattle..a recipe for your beautiful picture. I initially thought you should not have cropped the tree tops...but reading the thread with Rajeev, I understood your problem. Maybe a vertical framing could have helped & also tightened the compo...just a thought!

A nicely framed shot looking through the trees and over the top of the foreground shrubs. A bucolic scene with the cows grazing in front of 'The Big House'. Excellent lighting and colours and the rainbow is an obvious bonus and adds much to the mood.

i ve never managed to take a pic with a rainbow in it :(... this is beautiful jaap... the square format works well with the trees on both sides and the saturated colours are very eye-catching... the buildings behind looks a bit overexposed though... good job...

As usual your Carper Format works well with your composition with the house nicely framed by the trees and the point of the fence in the middle adding depth. The light brings out the rich greens of the grass. I like how the rainbow seems to spring out of the house.
