Photographer's Note

Yesterday, I was present, as of very many people (one announced 30.000 of them) to the inauguration of new station TGV of Liege-Guillemins. Towards 21:30, prince Philippe cut the ribbon, accompanied by the burgomaster of Liege Willy Demeyer, the Prime Minister Hermann Van Rompuy and the architect of the station Santiago Calatrava.
The inauguration was followed of a spectacle “song and light” developped at the point by Franco Dragone, “Station with you”. Shootings of fireworks enclosed the evening. Earlier in the course of the day had taken place the “installation of the last stone” in the presence of many workmen having worked on this Pharaonic building site, which lasted nearly nine years. In all, with the complete rebuilding of the railway “grill”, station TGV of Liege will have cost nearly one half-milliard of euros. And, famous prowess, it was built without never the traffic not being stopped in Liege.
Personally, I find this realization splendid. I did not make a success of my photographs yesterday evening and I am turned over today in order to discover this architectural unit which really impressed me. I am likely to live to 5 ' of the station and me delighted to go back there to capture it under all these angles: -)
In WS, a sight of the carpark which, as the station, is a success.
