Ducks Don’t Pay Bills
 |
|
| [Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista |
I know it might sound stupid, but when I observe ducks gliding on water, they seem to be the most untroubled animals in the world. I like to watch them. They transmit, like cats, a sense of balance and control. I don’t know why. They sure have their own troubles like everybody else. Humans, dogs, pollution, find food... It should be nice to be a duck for a day.
This sunset was caught at the Klopeiner Lake, in the Austrian southernmost state Carinthia (Kärnten). It is the warmest European lake, with temperatures reaching the 28°C. Lakes are nice in Austria. Unpolluted. Peaceful. Clean. Big. Green. You can even make scuba diving in some of them. Of course, for a Portuguese guy, used to have at his disposal more than 800 km of coast with free beaches, it was at first strange to realize, that every lake is completely sealed by private houses, hotels and pay beaches. There is not a single natural entrance to be found around the huge perimeter. To enjoy it, you have to pay. I’m glad I paid. |

Hola Nuno,
thanks for this nice pic. I live 20 km away from this lake and I know it very well. And I know that our lakes are wonderful. You´re right, there are a lot of private beaches, but if you know where, you find also some places to have a bath for free. You´re welcome to contact me next time you are here...
Compliments, TFS, chris
