Sapa - Rice fields

Three more photos taken in the vicinity of Sapa in the northwest of Vietnam.

Rice fields constructed on steep slopes can be found in several places in the world.
The most spectacular terraces I’ve ever seen are the 2.000-year-old Banaue rice terraces in the north of the Philippines.
I’ve never been in that part of China but here on TE spectacular pictures have been posted of the terraces in Yuanyang, Yunnan.
There are also very beautiful terraces in Bali, Indonesia but the difference in height there is less.

Probably more countries have impressive rice terraces on steep hills. To me personally, they offer views I always enjoy to see.
During the walks it’s sometimes not easy to balance on the thin partition walls and falling into the muddy water is not something to look forward to :)
