Nan, Thailand
H'mong Village

Parenting is surely not easy. Infants and children need to be taken cared of 24/7. When they reached adloescence, they start to veer eway from home and make their peers a stheir center of universe. When they become adults, that's when the real "letting-go" occur.

For these H'mong children, it can happen earlier. Children need to fend for themselves. They need to take care of younger siblings. They sometimes look for a job to help raise a family.

This picture is a picture of love. Not that the father would like to let go of his son but helping them to stand on their own is the first step. The strong hands of the father is a big support. In other words, parents let go physically, but their mind is always on their kids, always ready to help when crisis happens. This is not only true among the H'mongs. This is the essence of parenting.

Lovely not Manny, and so true. It is potried very well in this pictue. I like the focus on the young boy and the contrast in size betwenn him and hi sfather. Also, the y way he hold his son, it showes affection.

Yes, this helping situation is very special and you caught it well. The eye contact is great and I can see in his eyes that his mind is occupied with something else like lifting a foot or keeping the knees straight.

A beautiful composition, Manny. The little child looks very happy to be walking and to having his photo taken. Excellent detail and good colours. Well seen.

Great shot of a great moment Manuel! And very nice note!
I like this composition with strong hands of adult and small, weak hands of kid.
Nice photo, well done!

Not your best one Manuel because of the armsIt's too posed for my taste. It looks like if the father told you.. Take this picture.
But hi is very cute. So..

Ditto to the above. Great use of dof.

An adorable moment you captured with this little guy, Manny. His big eyes are looking at you and at the same time he seems to be focusing on something else. I particularly like how you included his fathers helping and caring hands, it emphasizes the message in your note so much. Well done.

Il y a toujours énormément de tendresse dans vos photos Manuel. Cette prise de vue est très forte en émotion. Tout passe dans cette image.
Merci pour votre regard attentif.
There is always enormously tenderness in your Manuel photographs. This catch of sight is very strong in emotion. Any master key in this image. Thank you for your attentive glance.

Very sweet little guy. A first independent step; such a milestone. Nicely captured.

Very sweet photo Manny. I like your note and the photograph illustrates it well with the father's supporting hands in the background guiding this cute young man on his way.

Just great, Manny. The strong hands made this shot, together with the wonderful baby. Very strong shopt, very well done.

Without his father's hands to support him I think the boy will not be very steady on his feet..so I like the way they are presented in your shot together, Manny. :-) I love that joyful expression on the little boy's face - it is pure happiness. Very well done!

Nice note and very beautiful picture of this child. Very well done, Manuel as all your gallery.
