Photographer's Note

This shot was taken from the West Railay beach which is in the Krabi province of Thailand.

Railay is separated from the mainland by a small series of cliffs with no motorable roads. It is only accessible through the sea and is a 15 - 20 mins ride in a longtail boat from the Ao Nang Beach. There are a few speedboats too which ply between these two beaches and one has been captured in the shot.

Unlike Phuket and Pattaya, Krabi and its beaches have a very laid back atmosphere with almost no hustle and bustle. Railay is a few steps ahead in this and has a completely no hurries, no worries and no frills kind of an atmosphere and crowd. You feel as if you have entered a world which is serene, calm and is devoid of any technological advancement, very very close to the nature and a kind of freshness not easily found.

The west beach is a beautiful white sand beach and this shot captures its waterfront with its shimmering waters and a speedboat speeding its way to the adjoining mainland.

I hope you like this shot and would welcome any comments/feedback.
