Photographer's Note

Tapping legs & engrossed eyes, on a vernacular weekly or the book keeping?...
If it was book keeping, he should be making big money, looking at the way he was tapping his foot.
This scene in a flour Mill along the Serangoon Street is what the spirit of Little India is... The old man in Modern attire but the shop & the setting could be from anywhere in TamilNadu`s Back waters, Might be Madurai`s Mela Maasi street, Raja veedhi in Coimbatore, Market area in Thirunelveli or Pondi Bazaar / T.Nagar in Chennai!... That is what we feel inside little India. People in modern world but striving to maintain an old setup, simply because it relates to the land of their ancestry! A cultural Backwater!
