Photographer's Note

Just returned from a rather fine trip to Myanmar (and Thailand). I was gone for a month and took hundreds of photos so now have to sort them all out!

This shot was taken in Moulmein (Mawlamyaing) in the Mon state. It's a great little city in the South and is very laid back. It used to be the capital of British Burma back in the 19th Century and still has plenty of British architecture dotted around the city. It's all decayed and crumbling, but hell that's what I like! In fact I loved the city and spent many hours wandering around gazing at the mix of old British style architecture and the newer Chinese style.

This picture was chosen because of the old building and I didn't have to wait for long until some suitable 'subjects' passed into the frame. The angle is a little stange, but I wanted to get as much of the building in the frame as possible.

I had a little trouble with the sky. I made it a little more darker, but any more and the white in the corner would look too overexposed.
