An undiscovered gem

Reading the everyday news about the most architecturally advanced bridges, and the longest and most high-tech bridges, but here in Amarapura the iconic Ubein Bridge that spans 1.2km across Taungthaman Lake, brings you back to what real bridges are like - teak wood foot-bridge that has braved 200 years of flooding and monsoons. Walk across the bridge and see the people exercising-socialise-relax-fishing and greet the monks as they walk for their daily offerings, however there are fairly large gaps between some of the planks and it does wobble occasionally, but it's fun to walk across!

Basically it was very leisure walk that bring you back to the beauty of nature especially during sunset. Wouldn't say it's amazing but for sure it's worth for a few shots.
