Photographer's Note

Everything in the Zen garden at the main temple in Mount Koya is the epitome of serenity. Not a stone is out of place on the carefully raked gravel. The rusty rock, with a small covering of coloured mosses, can be meditated upon for a long time.

Everything is perfect, except that it is autumn, and it is impossible to remove all traces of fallen red maple leaves from the gravelly furrows. How many can you spot?
