Photographer's Note
The guys on this "Dashi" are looking down the line to see when they can give the order to pull away, with to the chant of "Wasshoi". This was just before it got dark at the Narita Gion Matsuri (Festival), so the lights on the Dashi and the shop seem brighter now.

Your previous shot named Gion Matsuri "Dashi" captured much more the feeling of the moment mostly due to a good isolation of all the persons in your composition. Technicality this is a great picture, but somehow none of the characters seem outstanding accept for the partial visible man that sings... or eats :-)
Have difficultyies where in this composition I can let my eyes rest, but that could be just me (:

I like this shot just because there is so much going on here. Shooting a scene like this, with many people about, it is very hard to isolate a single object or subject, so I think the best choice is just to take it all in as you did here. The colors and details are spectacular. The lady in white taking a photo by the snack stand is also a nice addition. My only comment would be that the guy right smack in the middle disturbs the composition somewhat, but a very well done image nonetheless. Good work!

While I like the shot overall, I also find it difficult to let my eyes rest on a single focal point. There are many competing elements, and I have some difficulty establishing a mental line of site. This may have been helped with a slightly narrower depth of field, to define the subject more and pull it out of the background/foreground.

This one is very well composed but I feel the other is better emotionally. My eyes keep falling on to the guy with the pink flourescent hoop.

I love the color of the lighting on the "Dashi" and on the shops. You captured that evening feel just before dark perfectly. A very nice atmosphere.
