Photographer's Note

Some parts of the Balinese temples, where the main celebrations take place, are closed for the unbelievers, but the gates are open, the walls are not high so it was possible to look inside. So, here is the "interior" of the temple in Ulun Danu Brata. People brought all these baskets into the temple to thank Gods for the crop, but what happens to it, I have no idea, as I have already written. There is monotone music, kind of bells, that accompany celebrations. And again, you can see the white and golden umbrellas.

It was just a bit of sheer luck that we saw it. It was not planned, and it was finished just as we wanted to go back, so we were there in perfect time. I was happy as a clam at high water that I could be a witness, I went around, all people were friendly and smiling seeing the old lady. But the priorities are different - all other people from my group went to drink beer in the other, touristic place of a complex.
