Photographer's Note


Whoever parked these canoes on the shore of Salomate village, Lake Tempe, must have had an eye for colour composition. All I had to do was frame the shot and press the shutter release. These are traditional
canoes or 'katinting', a long and shallow draft canoes widely used by native Bugis inhabitants as main transportation around the shallow lake as well as in extensive inland rivers and swampy canals.


Just for the pure celebration of colour on a slight greyish morning....
