Photographer's Note

This latest offering is something I've thought about uploading for a while, an image of a small time street vendor plying her trade at a bustling Waiwerang side street market in Adonara island. Anyone who has ever been to most Asian countries will be familiar with street vendors who set up impromptu stalls whenever and wherever there is an opportunity for making a sale, it is taken.

This woman, seemed to have taken up a comfortable temporary residence at what appeared to be a very shady spot selling avocadoes, bananas, red chillies, betel in plastic bag along with lots of peanuts. She was cheerful lot despite living on the poverty line and to me this shot sums up the sheer force of will that can be found here to just get on with life albeit all the crazyness!

Nothing out of ordinary though, just a simple shot portraying the essence of daily life from this remote island. Sure life is tough but she'll get through
you have to agree!
