[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
This was taken when I had been to BR Hills in Karnataka, India. The jungles out there are famous for elephants. I found this lone tusker having bath at a waterhole. I was able to take a few pictures and also managed to take a short video. The elephant was about 100 feet away from where I was standing. It disappeared into the jungle after sometime.

Critiques [Translate]

It is certainly an elephant in the wild, but photographically, this picture could have been better.

The composition is poor with the elephant almost dead center. He is also partly covered by branches, especially the one in his face is very disturbing. Lastly the focus seems to be on the branch rather than on the elephant.

I realize that meeting an elephant like this is a stressing experience and hardly allows you to calmly ponder the best angles and compositions :) But this picture suffers from the stress with which it was probably taken.

I hope you take this critique in the right way and keep trying. It is from the less successful shots that we learn and evolve!

Sometimes there's no time to properly calculate settings on a camera to take a good photo, especially when the the main subject might leave the scene at any moment. Considering your conditions, you captured the moment you had, and I'm glad you did, and was able to share it with us.
I tried a workshop, and I hope you like it.

Hi Santosh. Not the clearest shot of the elephant, but surely one that shows it in a unique (to me) environment. Here in North America, most of the shots of elephants we see are of the African variety. I like your cute little eared elephant! I wish the branches were not in the way, but it certainly gives it the jungle feel.

I hope you will post more pictures soon!

Hi Santosh!
Gosto desse angulo a sensação visual e bem profunda. As cores naturais reforçam a qualidade da composição. Parabens.
