Photographer's Note

Contrary to my last posting, it's another 'dark sight' from my walkabout

As a photographing traveler it is easy to get the attention from curious street children and the heart-wrenching scenery is indeed hard to ignore - homeless children who live on the streets of a city as depicted here in Jaipur city centre. I was accosted by these fun loving kids who wanted me to take their photo and it was great fun when they saw the photo on the back of the camera. There is quite a story in those young faces, I think it was their first photo but beneath that veneer of purity lies layers of hardship, poverty and malnutrition but with pure survival instincts....

I believe as I've mentioned before, that photographic journey has an ugly side to it too, which I am sure that many would not want to hear or view. These shots portray that.
