Workers at a paddy field. Scenes like these are fast dwindling in Kerala. Although one can find use of improvised machinery to do such work in some places, most land owners don't really consider this the ideal solution, maybe the cost factor is not making sense. Secondly finding labourers to do this back bending work in fields is also becoming extremely difficult. Most fields that were once used extensively are lying vacant. This field near Thrissur was a welcome sigh
