Photographer's Note

Bajlo tomar alor benu is the famous Bengali song which mens Tune of your flute of light is on. "You" is the God.
It’s an early reminder with this Puja time landscape to set your tour programme in the forthcoming Durga Puja vacation. Autumn in west Bengal ushers with its soft golden sunlight reflecting over the seasonal Kashful (Kash flower) beds waving as teased by the cool breeze.

Kashful is a white fluffy inflorescence of a grass, named Kash in Bengali. Large beds of such flowers are unique views of Autumn in West Bengal. We smell Puja vacation with the appearance of such atmosphere but it is too late at that time to get the transport and accommodation booking.

This ideal landscape matching the caption allured me last year while approaching Pedong, which is the history laden mountain village on the ancient Silk-route in Kalimpong subdivision of Darjeeling district.

The caption is the famous song that exactly describes the Autumn sunlight, white cotton wool clouds floating in the clear blue sky and the waving Kash flower beds in Puja-time.
It was at Siliguri while crossing a bridge on a feeder stream of Mahananda River a glimpse to the left unfolded the song playing in this landscape. I had to get down and activate both my movie and still digitals.
Hope you like it.
