Once I had an opportunity to photograph men playing this game in China.. but I was not as successful as you were here!

Good daily life here. You were in the right place and in the right moment. And that's much more difficult than manny people think.

Only would need a bite more of sharpness and also contrast.

Hi Ricardo.
This is a picture that for all shows that the human expression is universal. Alhhough I don't know the game I know the faces of the players and the spectators. The mimic is identical to what I see watching a game of 'western' chess.

Excellent capture of daily life; none of them appear to notice you. As well as the table the equipment also looks a bit make-shift. I wonder what would happen if one of them got a customer.

Veru nicely capured Ricardo! In teh frame the players heads are in good balance. The game is no Chinese chackers or traditional for all the squares are the same. Interesting !

OLá Ricardo,
Como estamos próximos do Natal eu ando menos activo por estes lados e penso que também o meu amigo. Voltou ao extremo oriente com uma foto e captura interessante da atracção pelo jogo que estes povos tem na sua vida diária. Um excelente momento de uma pausa depois de almoço para partilhar estrategias. Bom angulo e aproximação com um excelente enquadramento e pormenores ou atitudes das pessoas bem capturados. Talvez um pouco mais de contraste e baixa de luminosidade ficassem melhores. De qualquer forma está bom e a composição ainda melhor. Para Scanner usa Slides ou Prints de fotos ???

A nice daily life scene, Ricardo, with the folks enjoying a relaxing moment with the game. Good angle and a nice tight view on the scene, with good context provided by the bikes in the back. Technically the surface of the playing board is a bit overexposed, but it does not matter much.

Curiosa e bem interessante a foto que hoje nos tráz. Um composição fotojornalística que nos revela um mundo diferente, com as suas tradições e culturas. O enquadramento está excelente. Gosto particularmente do segundo plano, com as bicicletas estacionadas por trás e das expressões dos jogadores. Um belíssimo trabalho, como de costume...

Nice framing that shows us only what is necessary, I mean the players and the watchers, and the close surroundings without excess. The problem for me ( But I see you managed it a bit ) is when the subject has SUN spots. This is why I prefer cloudy days for these pictures with human presences. Friendly regards - Izzet
