Good action shot and good composition, Ricardo, but it is not very sharp. I can't tell whether that is due to focus or scanning (probably not due to a slow shutter speed because it looks quite bright and you have used quite a shallow DOF). Cheers . . . David
PS: I agree Yangshuo is a magic place - there is so much to photograph.

Olá Ricardo.
Uma foto recuperada pelo Scanner é sempre um pouci difícil, e eu que o diga com algumas das minhas antigas. De qualquer forma o efeito de "Blur" dá lhe um acento e uma perspectiva visual muito interessante que com os elementos capturados dão a sensação de que as lentes da camara também estão a ser regadas com a água. Bom efeito e recuperação da foto.

PS: Na realidade o PICO está quase constantemente com nuvens e é sempre dificil apanhar um momento com o topo limpo. Obrigado pelas suas palavras e por partilhar. Um bom fim de semana e Parabéns.

It's a pity the poor scanned. The scene is great, and with less noise and more sharpness would be much better.
But I am sure that must be by the scanned.

Great composition of this daily life scene and gives us an insight to the lives of the people. The picture is a bit blurry, especially in the foreground. Watch out for the scan and the depth of field when photographing. Avoid camera shake as well. And my favourite: use a tripod!!!!

Nice shot Ricardo, good composition and timing. Sharpness could be better as mentioned. I guess there are many activities in rural China that are still being done manually, that are done by machine in the "west".

Hi Ricardo. This is a very impressive daily life scene with the farmer working in the field, and the splashing water droplets giving a very vivid touch - not least to the way in which they multiply the sunlight by reflecting it. The quality of the scanned photo - shot at long focal - is a bit of a problem here, but the moment that is shown is still a great one.

I was wondering what the man in the Picture was doing. Hehehhe. Well, the note said it all. As a result we have a very nice composition. The elements are balanced. And the low horizon shows us a perspective from the ground that illustrates the action. I think that some definition may had been lost in the scanning process. Still a very fine composition. Congrats. Gabriel.

This hand system to throw the water is very new to me... and this constitues a great information here.
The composition is attractive by the mouvement and the natural colors.

Hello Ricardo, this is a great composition with the guy to one side and the water arcing across the frame. The water is wonderfully illuminated by the backlighting. Like several others I was wondering about the slight fuzziness of the image but your helpful messages explain all. It seems you have done well in difficult circumstances.

Aprecio essa postura de mostrar as fotos pelo que elas ilustram, deixando os problemas técnicos da qualidade para segundo plano. Se não fosse assim não teríamos oportunidade de ver esta interessante imagem da China.
Quanto ao enquadramento, preferia ver o homem mais afastado do extremo da imagem e também ver um pouco mais da água.

this picture is amazing, in the beginig I can not see what he was using to irrigate this plants, I thougth this was a kind of pump hose.
the most inetresting in this picture is the ligth mixing with the drops of water, the effect is amazing, and the siluete of this persons make it beeter, the mistery is fascinant and magic.
