Photographer's Note

Nothing special but without people (people are in Workshop picture).
I made this picture from the East railway Station in Guangzhou. It is a huge station from which you can go to Hong Kong by direct train (two hours). There is also metro station there, also very big, we were a bit lost. I was looking at my pictures and the list of the skyscrapers in Guangzhou and I was amazed to know that the building in the background is CITIC Plaza.

China International Trust and Investment (CITIC) Plaza is an 80-storey, 391 m office skyscraper in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou. Its structural height includes two antenna-like spires on the top. Completed in 1997, it is the tallest concrete building in the world. Currently, it ranks as the eighth tallest building in China, 11th in Asia, and 16th worldwide.
Located in the growing and expanding Tianhe District, it is part of a complex of the same name which also consists of two 38-story residential buildings. Its proximity includes a new train station which serves the extremely busy Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Guangzhou-Hong Kong railways.

It doesn't look so high, I am surprised.

Guangzhou is currently, the third most-populous city in mainland China, behind Beijing (2nd) and Shanghai (1st). In 2015 the city's administrative area was estimated to have a population of 13,501,100 and forms part of one of the most populous metropolitan agglomerations on Earth. Some estimates place the population of the built-up area of the Pearl River Delta Mega City as high as 44 million without the Hong Kong SAR and 54 million including it.
