Photographer's Note

One from the archives again:

Rice fields of Yuangyang 2400 m asl, near Laohuzui was created by the indigenous 'Hani' people. I was lucky enough to get a fairly clear view from about half a kilometer above, capturing only a fraction of the 'massive rice bowl' after the awful thick late afternoon fog was partially cleared. It's arguably the biggest and the most spectacular terraced rice fields that I've ever seen and little wonder why this place was granted the title of "Magic Mountain Sculptors" by Ming Emperor in the 14th century.

There is no photo anywhere that can do this place justice.
