[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Ta Keo, the impressive State Temple of Jayavarman V, rises 21.35m (70') above the ground on a 122m x 106m (400' x 350') platform. It is located at the west end of the East Baray. Work on the temple continued through the reign of Jayaviravarman (1002-1010), but stopped in 1010 when Suryavarman I came to the throne. As a result, the temple is uncarved throughout, giving the walls an unintentionally severe appearance that somewhat resembles the great pyramidal monuments of Pagan. Ta Keo (crystal tower) was never completed. It looks like an Aztec temple & is one of the tallest structures in Angkor Wat.

This is one I only gave a cursory glance to, and I hadn't appreciated the lack of carving. Nicely done archi shot. Interesting note.

I know, I know.. Still a lot of places to travel too.. Nice architecture shot.
You are making me mad.. I really love to be on the road..
If only I could do what I like to do.....

Hi Chris, I like here the shooting angle you have chosen, many details of this superb architecture appear well, sharpness is great, light seems to have been quite hard. A nice addition to TE !

I like a lot the architecture.Very good colors and good contrast between them.I like the prespective and the composition.Great details and textures.I like the light and the sharpness.Good job!

A very well framed and composed arcitecture photo Chris! Sharp details which shows all the magnificent ellements of the real impressive complex!

A excellent note Chris, it's a beautiful photograph, but I must look at something longer. Nicely between the two trees one sees the old temple, the colours of the construction toes are very beautiful and gentle, excellent composition too!

good work here again, I like the building shot and the grrens surrounding it too, well done

Ruins.. The most I like.. Perfect shot Chris. All the details are perfectly visible. So sad it's never finished. Good choice of framing with the trees. Also the angle you chose increase the depth and shows the architecture very good under the this color of sky. Well done and thanks for sharing...

Classical composition of this temple, Chris, with a good use of the trees as fraing devices, and a detailed rendition of the architectural features. It must be really an impressive sight to see it "live". Good shot, interesting notes.

Thanks for showing us this interesting site, Chris. This looks like a place I would have enjoyed as a kid. Climbing around, imagine all sorts of adventures, perhaps find a forgotten treasure :-) .
Nice POV to give an idea of the state and dimension of this building. I like it. Thanks for sharing it.

A great historical place in a great shot, with a strong composition and details, nice informative shot,I like it,Thanks for this info and shot.

Very good angle of shooting Chris, revealing the interesting architecture in a wonderful way - through the opening between trees. Nice depth and sharpness and fine true colours. Very well done!

Interesting... is the word! Fantastic... how is possible to build this monument! Amazing.
Thanks for sharing.

A nice and very interesting architecture, and a very good note, Chris. I like the natural tree framing and the details of this temple.
I think that I'll crop it a bit and try to improve the levels. see my WS.

This reminds me of a scene from "the Jungle book" - all I miss are Mogwli and Balooh :-) Great sight even the temple in real poor condition - thanks Chris for taking us here - I like the sight.

Great temple! Really precious. I like the POV, but I think that cropping just a bit from the top would place the temple higher in the composition a creating a stronger feelnig. Also reducing the highlights and contrasts could balance better the light in the image turning it softer. The strong contrast with very intricate details of the monument make it hard to look at them.

Very nice view of this mythic and mystical place ! The light might be attenuated in order to have more saturated colors, but this picture is still nice! Good work !
