C'est vrai qu'il n'y a pas que des paysages et ou couchers de soleil à publier. Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi. Et c'est bien là l'esprit de TE.
Ces gens souriants n'ont pas l'air d'être une bande de joyeux contestataires. Navré de ne pas t'aider à traduire la banderole Chris. :-(

The change of scenery that your pictures bring is probably the main target of TE, the Earth discovery by its places and people.
I'm not sure that these folks are in strike. Perhaps local festivities ?
Yet a beautiful picture with nice details increased by a colour palette very large and an ambient light playing its role :)
Effectively these "artificial trees" in the background are surprizing. A picture ? :)

A classical TE shot, Chris, with this fine street scene from Bangladesh. A lot of engaging detail is present in your frame, and the colors are very nice. They look like a rather cheerful crowd. Well done.

Nice colour and action Chris - you've taken a good documentary shot, even if we're not sure exactly what you're documenting! :) Seems as if they're celebrating rather than protesting. They're happy to be on camera too.

talking about bangladesh..
this country i think is the richest in south asia when it comes to photography..
there is just soooo much talent here... so many potential legends in my opinion.
i dont remember the names of the bangladeshi photographers.. there are too many good ones.. but i can't get over the black and white images that i've seen from this country..
some of the strongest i've come across ..
in india we have 1 raghu rai.. , but it seems like there are quite a few potential raghu rais in bangladesh.
it's a pity i haven't come across bangladeshi photographers on this site.

about this photograph..
i think i would prefer this one in black and white.. although i do like the oldish colours in this one .., somehow i always see such processions etc as going down in the archives.. and i've always seen historical photographs in black and white. b&w i think adds it's own atmosphere which i think will be very suitable here

Hi Chris, I guess you must be on holidays, you post less regularly nowadays - so I looked again at your photos of Bangladesh (we had both a photo as "featured destination, Dhaka" yesterday on TE's 1st page) - I enjoy a lot looking at this one, it is so typical, not only the demonstration but the friendly way they'll still gesture at you even when repeating slogans - Bengal is very politicized, both sides of the border !
