[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
The town of Dhaka, is built on the delta of the Ganges River. This is one of the mumerous anabranches. You can see how high the summer flood waters come, & direction of flow, by the lean of the shanty town hut. The boat is unloading old bricks for recycling, which women were smashing with hammers on the bridge that this was taken from. The powdered bricks, are then loaded onto another boat, for shipment to the cement & brick works.

Taken near the international airport. Y2K concerns, meant a stopover in Bangladesh, enroute from Bkk to Kathmandu.

Hi Chris,
what a scenery. I would have fear to stand near the wooden house.
Great capture,
Nino

Bonjour Chris,
Toujours aussi intéressantes vos photographies. Vous nous faites pénétrer dans des lieux étranges et qui nous aident à mieux comprendre la culture du pays.
Une très bonne photographie une fois de plus !
Amitiés.
Philippe

Bon Week-end

Hi Chris. It's good to be back. This scan worked out well for you. That lean-to gives new definition to lean-to! It looks very unstable. Good note too. Well seen Chris!

Hi Chris,
A well captured daily life scene from Bangladesh. The hut looks indeed very instabel, the boat with the load of brickstones is an essential detail here.
Greetings,
hermann

Not sure about the crop here, looks like there should be more to the leftr, but it tells an interesting story about the construction industry in Bangladesh.

This hut that is lean absorbes in a first view when I opened the shot, the the boat with unloading situation and then the rest of the shot,...Excellent daily life shot with your note, great POV and excellent details and colors, sharpness and contrast you reached here.
great work,Chris,

Wow, Chris, A well seen and good capture of the leaning house. I think the hanging house should not be able to last too long with the position like such. A nice PoV and a good capture.

Hi Chris, imagine that you have to live in that cabin, maybe it's abondoned, as it gives me the feeling that it would slide away any minute.
Good documentary shot, Chris, Good note, it goves a good image how hard it can be to live near the water.

Chris
Brings back memories of my visit to Dhaka early this year. Nice point of view here and the dangerous overhanging building looks good in the picture.
Thanks for sharing
