Photographer’s Note
This workman was heading from his village towards Bamiyan. He may have been part of the team working on the excavation of the Buddhist temple nearby. Or maybe he was just a road worker.
This guy passed by exactly the same spot as where I photographed Bamiyan Princess and Old Man of Bamiyan. It was a great place to meet and photograph some of the local people.

Looks like you set up shop there and did portraits of everyone! It is indeed a great spot, and even better are the subjects you found. Faces full of character and expression, and the life of Afghanistan. Great work!

Jonathan, l'art du portrait est une belle part de la photographie. Par ce cliché tu nous montres que tu le maîtrises parfaitement. L'homme était en confiance pour dévoiler sa personnalité de cette façon. Cette photo me fait penser à un tableau célèbre du peintre Le Nain. Beau travail !
