Photographer’s Note
This young lad is threshing - separating the grain from the chaff. He leads the cows around in a circle and they trample the wheat with their hooves and by dragging a wooden frame behind them. At intervals the men toss the wheat into the air so that the chaff blows away in the breeze and only the grain is left.
Initially the men were not keen on us taking pictures but after they got used to our presence they were OK with it - especially if we were taking shots of the children. Eventually we stayed here nearly an hour and I took many photos. The main reason I chose to post this one is because of the cow's tongue!

Great shot! I really like this tight composition. Good natural light and colors. It is a bit sad the way people use animals. Nice catch of the left cow!

Great composition, with the boy side by side with the two cows. Great job with a photo that is not only informative and culturally relevant, but is visually interesting. I just noticed that the piece of wood that forms that double yoke lines up with the boy's head, nice touch! Well done!

Hi Jonathan, It looks that the kids begin to work in an early age in that part of the world. Good shot with the contrast of the size of the kid in comparing with the two cows. Nicely taken picture with nice contrast sharpness and clarity. Well done.

Hi Jonathon. This is astunning rural composition. I like the dominance and cropping for the beasts of burden and their little master. Excellent clarity and colours. Well seen and presented. Murray.
