Photographer’s Note
this was water oozing out of a travertine site.. close to bamiyan in a place called the dragon valley (named after some popular islamic hero slaying a dragon).. the water was a reflection of the sky itself with not a person around when a group of sheep ascended on to the site revealing a nice real side to this seemingly mystical pool of light blue sub-terranean water..

Nice to see another photo of your country! It's nice!I like the perspective, the colours and the all these sheep going to drink water. Just a pitty it isn't a little bigger because I think it's great!

Hey Atanu,
I visited the valley in 2004 and found it very, very amazing - the amazing features resembling to those of the shape of a ' dragon '. The water springs and the crack-line on the tope were amazing. Even more amazing were the 'nipple like' formations.
Your shot is cool and would be great with a bigger shot with a better resolution. TFS and Welcome to TE.

Afghanistan has always been a place that made me dream. I had friends from the sixtiesseventies coming back with stories from Mazar i Sharif, Bandia mir, Bamiyan among others. History never gave me the opporutnity to trval there yet, just a stop over in Kabul once. Great picture showing us a very dry place it seems. Next time post it a little bigger you can go up to 800x600. Thanks for sharing pictures of Afghanistan with us.
