Photographer’s Note
PERILS OF PEOPLE LIVING BY THE DIARIES OF SOME DEAD GUYS. See for yourself.
The color isn't what it should be because it was shot right in the middle of the day with the sun vertically looking down.
It was the very first day of the reconstruction process and my very last day in Bamian. I went there to capture as much of it as possible. The folks at the bottom are the reconstruction workers who would work hard all day long for as much as $3, which is the salary of the 'welloff' in Afghanistan.
Cheers. Hadi

Hi Hadi,
Very good shot. At first glance the structure doesnt look very big but when compared to the people it is huge. It is very good idea to put the employees in the scene. The niches in the rock are just like the ancient Thracian monumental tombs in several rocks in Bulgaria. The big hole in the rock has the shape of sarcophagus.
