Photographer's Note

The markets of Hargeisa, capital of Somaliland are bustling. There are money changers with wads of 500 shilling notes - a hundred of them are about 5 euros, there are qat sellers, identified by the number of their supplier - 337 was a popular supplier, there are clothes, materials, spices, incense and, of course, fruit and vegetables.
Hargeisa is a vibrant commercial city, and has been rebuilt from the destruction wreaked by the Somalis from the south in the civil war of the late 1980's.
