Photographer's Note

This is a Bedik village. It's a magnificent place but it's a hard way to get there, as the Bedik villages are usually at the top of the mountains and there are no roads, only a hard way, with lots of rocks that we need to climb.
The Bediks are Animists who kept their traditions thanks to their decision of living isolated, this way escaping slavery and avoiding the influence of Islam. Some of them became Catholic, as it was the case of this village where there is a little church.

Bonjour Ana,

Un très beau cadrage vertical, qui sert bien l'image et qui donne de la profondeur à la composition.On dirait que les huttes forment une danse autour du palmier.

This is the typical african village as we can see in our children books ! I suppose they are . A beautiful view of the brown huts in the lush greenery ; MAy be it would have been better with the entire palm tree .

Hi Ana,
Superb photo in perfect light. Excellent view to small African village surrounded by green nature. I like the arrangement in vertical format. Everything is perfect except the top part, it is pity that you have cut the nice palm tree. I' better crop the bottom grass section and show the palm tree in full. Otherwise an excellent photo, I like it.

Hello Ana,
This looks very much like the dream of an exotic African traditional village. It is beautifully situated in the green and hilly landscape and it must be a very interesting experience to visit a place like this - unless you arrive in a group of 20 persons :-).

la vera Africa dei libri di avventure con le tipiche capanne dal tetto di paglia.
Molto piacevole la composizione apprezzabile soprattutto per i colori tra i quali il verde predomina in maniera straordinaria con tutte le sue varianti.
Eccellente come d'abitudine per te la nitidezza.

Great, but I think the palm tree could and should be completely on the photo.

Background sharpness is weak, but may be due to the high humidity.

Hello Ana,
I don't know how hard life in this small village can be but somewhere I believe it must be better there than in the big cities where many people from rural areas went to.
These houses with their round roofs look very beautiful. A bit small perhaps or it's that giant palmtree that makes them look small.
Hopefully the residents in this remote region are able to provide for their livelihood.
Your picture is a very interesting contribution on TE showing the Africa how it was once for many of its inhabitants.

This is a nice view of thsi village concentrated around the palm tree. The vertical format is well chosen and the slight downward view adds deepness. The light gives good saturated colors.

A rain-forest village on the nice view from higher ground, well collected with many green diff. tones.
Only the canopy of the palm is a bit of a miss.
Nevertheless, we gat to see how pepole live in this
remote area and the surrounding's.

Hi Ana,
This is beautiful. I only watched a TV show over the weekend where David Attenorough was finding the last undiscovered tribes in the world, and the villages where these people lived in Brazil looked quite like this, it was a fascinating insight into another level of our world. I love how the village is constructed around the tree, I wonder if that has any significance? A beautiful natural capture of something we certainly don’t see everyday, so thanks for sharing.

Muy valiente por tu parte viajar a tan remotos lugares, donde no se si la seguridad en los tiempos que corren es fiable.....
En cualquier caso y gracias a ello, ahora nos muestras estas imagenes tan esplendidas y desconocidas, el pueblo es la viva imagen de una aldea anclada en el pasado, con un hermoso entorno natural, rodeada de tan bonita naturaleza.
Magnífico colorido, en unos tonos muy naturales.
Tanto la luminosidad como la nitidez estan perfectas.
Gran trabajo. Me encanta.

This shot catches the attention how starkly the huts stands out against that green intensity, and there is a lovely contrast between it in a cool bright day.
Excellent landscape shot, like your composition and the good details but i think you missed top part of the tree - that's the only negative crit I have for you. A pleasing capture, Congrats.

Hi Adores, Nice shot of the village surrounded by plush green nature. However, I feel it would have been better if you had used a wider focal length or moved back a little getting wider scene into the picture.
