Photographer's Note

For those not familiar with Volubilis in Morocco at is a ruined Roman city out from Meknes. It was in the far south west of the Roman Empire with an economy based on olive oil. Some monumental remains have been excavated but when I visited I think that about 50% remained unexcavated. The remains in this photo are of one of the walls of the basilica.
Volubilis is a pleasure to visit without large crowds and with lots to see. If you are by yourself without a car you can easily hire a driver in Meknes

Best in the large view.
