It's Mother's day. At least it is here and I know it is in many countries.
So it you are a mother, I wish you a happy Mother's Day. You have the hardest and most important job on earth.
If your Mom isn't with us anymore, I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you get to keep her memory with you throughout your life.
Now - if you HAVE a mother, go call her! Go on, go on... critiquing photos and surfing around on the internet can wait a little bit. :o)
Not Mother's Day where you live? Well.... call her anyway! I mean it's your mom. She was in labor with you for 28 hours or something like that. Mum's are great like that.

I will call my mother, Clifton, I will! I promise! :))))
Not an easy situation, these photos with backlight! But you did it just great! Their faces are not suffering from that, though the background is a little bit overexposed (which, in my opinion, is not distracting in this case).
For me, there is two things that make this photo. The smile of the mother and the great, shinny eyes of the son. Oh well... I will add a third element: the hand literally grabbing the shirt of his mother! Love it! :)) So typical! So true!

Lovely tribute to Mother's Day, Cliff. The photo is very strong, and technically very good. I love the moment you've captured here between mother and child. You're right that mothers have the hardest and most important jobs on Earth. Nice job.
