Photographer’s Note
These wrecks were trawlers, offered to the Mauritania by the international community.
Unfortunately, it was an unconsidered operation, because there were no qualified sailors in Mauritania:
Mauritanians are good fishers, but thez use to fish only in pirogues, not far from the coasts, and they do not get sailing technics.
And so, more than 100 wrecks are now rusting on the beaches, close to Nouadhibou.
International help to emergent countries is essential, but must be carefully prepared.

J'aime beaucoup cette photo, le délabrement est imprésionnant.
Du fait quelle est dans des ton assé clair, je pence quel contrasterai mieux sur un fond noir ou foncé.
Le choix de prendre les détritus de devant est un bon choix à mon avis
bravo!

You raise an important point in your note. Without a full understanding of the needs of developing countries the situation like here can be made worse.

Bonjour Yves!
Very impressive shot and excellent comment!
Yes, very big part of internetional aid to so salled "developing countries" turns just wasting of money - firstly, I think, because their governing regimes do not want and do not try to change something to the good in a life of the countries.
Thanks for sharing!

Yves: a shot full of atomosphere. Your limited color scheme works for a fine, if unordinary, seascape of these old hulks. regards, c

Very insightful note, thank you.
Also, I feel the limited colour scheme adds to the photograph, and the wrecks are perfectly placed in the frame.
Thanks for sharing =)
