Bon voyage Francine (ou? J'ai pas suivi...), backgrounds are more than often half of a portrait success as photography and here, yours add warmth to the scene, though it could be said, the blue door, a good complementary hue as it is, is a bit disruptive. I sense this is a detail that did not bother you, so taken by the motherliness of the scene.
