Recent upload of Gert from Tarrafal inspired me to pick up this one from the same town on the northern part of Santiago island. As far as I understood they are wearing school uniforms. So they are students returning from school.

Hello Kari,
So you were also in Tarrafal. How nice. These "children" look almost adult, so they must be senior high school students, maybe in their last year. You had a good eye-contact with some of them and they seem to have enjoyed the quick photo session. I would also have enjoyed taking this kind of snapshot.

Hello Kari,
Excellent photo of this street with all the students in their uniforms walking home. A great daily life scene, it's nice to see the different, but generally happy expressions on their faces.

Hello Kari,
Yes, this archipelago has recently become popular on this site.
The girls on the right seem to have a lot of fun.
They can be glad that school's over but perhaps they're surprised by seeing the photographer from the north.
Actually they behave like girls of that age in Europe.
An attractive daily life-picture.

Hello Kari, Nice picture from your archive. I like the view of the students in school uniforms. In Poland they tried to do it, but they failed. Specially in poor countries it is good idea. Nice picture.

there seem to be a number of TE members right now posting photos (new or older) from Cape Verde. I've never really thought of visiting here at all, maybe I should look into it.
and ya, the school certainly makes them wear the same outfit, doesn't even matter if you're male or female, its the same.
love seeing the signs in the bg, they add alot to the scene as well. cheers
