During the midst of August rainy season starts on Cabo Verde. We could witness live from a balcony when the streets turned into small, brown rivers. This boy is trying to flee from the heavy rainfalls that poured onto Mindelo that day, more jumping than running and crossing Avenida Capitao Ambrosio, close to the city center of Mindelo and near the Rua Lisboa.
Although the amount of rain is not very big, rainfalls can come quite concentrated, sometimes the annual rainfall comes down in two or three rainy days. Even though this boy seemed to run away, most of the kids seemed to enjoy the end of the dry season a lot, jumpong around in the water puddles, just having fun.

I was trying to use a short shutter time to freeze the raindrops, but now i am not sure if the effect was what i desired, the image looks a bit noisy.
