Photographer's Note
We met this man on the way from Ponta do Sol to Cruzinha da Garca near the village of Forminguinhas on Santo Antao. Starting from Ponta do Sol you will pass first the village of Fontainhas, then Corvu, Forminguinhas and finally Cruzinha da Garca.
The people you meet there will carry a lot of things by themselves and by muli or donkey, since there is no other way of transport through this narrow walkways. Very often they carry food but also sand for construction, which they take from the few beaches of Santo Antao. The distances they have to walk day by day with heavy load are often more than 20 km.

Hello Franz,
In Belgium and Germany are the people never contented, when we see this image, this is truly a picture for our youth, perhaps as example.
You chose a nice angle this gives perspective and depth.
