Photographer's Note
This picture has been taken from the rim of Cova's Crater on Santa Antao Island. It's the beginning of a hike going from Cova (1170m) to Paúl village (sea level). To reach the first village (Cha de Manuel dos Santos), tha path has no less than 77 hair-pin curves (see some of them on the left bottom corner of the picture). The view is magnificent.

Nice photo of impressive nature. I like the texture of the rocks and the fact that the right is a bit more vage than the left. Is the dark line the path you were walking on?

This picture shows very well why Santo antão is called the "isle of the mountains".
