Sand and desertification are gaining ground on the island of Boa vista, the wind displaces grains of sand and buried shrubs are gradually disappearing ... This gives however a contrasting photogenic aspect between blond sand and dark volcanic rocks.

The light brings a sculpted look to the composition as we look across the receding hills toward the black peaks. The foreground vegetation is well included and serves to give the composition depth and perspective. I like the restricted tonal palette.

Hello Jean,
A beautiful landscape with a great contrast between the sand and the rocks indeed. The smooth shapes of the dunes are wonderful and the much rougher, rocky peaks in the distance rise up nicely from behind the sand. Very well captured.

La distance entre l'arbre et les montagnes donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des dunes et des montagnes. La bonne luminosité rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

Très bel endroit.J'aime le contraste entre la lumière très forte sur le sable et les parties volcaniques. Je ne partirais pas vers ce désert sans ma bouteille d'eau et beaucoup de protection pour la peau.

Hello Jean,
It's an environmental problem but a nice photo. It looks a lot like the Sahara, where tiny bushes or trees can also be seen struggling for survival here and there. The contrasts of grey mountain, light brown dunes and the nearest black rocks are quite attractive.

Amazing landscape with a special graphical and artistic composition. I like the splendid layering of the image. Sand, the dark rocks with some sand in between, the lonely tree, sand again and the grey mountains above. All covered with the blue of the sky.

Great depiction of the dunes in movement, the texture allows us to see the direction they are going, we can almost sense the movement there. Very good work, nice mountains on the background!

Bonjour Jean,
Je ne sais pas grand-chose de cet archipel et je me suis déjà demandé à quel point une visite est intéressante. Ici, vous nous montrez certainement une belle image de la nature. Il semble un peu comme le Sahara. Un vaste désert et cela sur une île relativement petite.
La surface étendant en diagonale des fragments de terre desséchés fournit un beau premier plan et aussi une bonne composition.

I love this scenery.
You have selected a view with few horizontal layers, which makes the composition so geometrically attractive.
Nice to have this dried tree or bush in the foreground it adds a change to the desert like landscape.
