Great SnapRJW 2012-10-04 10:16

Good Evening dear Erdem - One from your archives I see. I like the composition very much, the lady on the bicycle has such poise and elegance as she sits ramrod stiff peddling her machine. Typical posture of Vietnam I think?
The colourful temple seems to be a confusion of styles with the square towers and seeping Asian roof lines. Did you go inside? I have seen TV programmes on the Cao Dai religion which seems rather strange to me but equally fascinating.

On my screen, the colours look a little off and the sharpness could do with a tweak but an informative note and good DL shot.

Warm regards Rosemary
PS. Unusually, there seems to be no other traffic around!

Default To SnapRJW: Tay Ninh

Dear Rosemary,

Thank you very much for your elaborate crit.

The scene with a lady driving a bicycle in typical Vietnamese dress is very usual, I guess. The lack of traffic is not. :-)

But, Tay Ninh, the centre of Cao Dai was very peaceful indeed.

The style of the main temple was a mixture, as you rightly put it. I got inside just on the right time, during the day-time ceremony.

You're rgiht about the saturation and sharpness, I noticed them after uploading the picture.

With friendship,

Erdem

Default Super Interiors

Hello Erdem - Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your interiors, they are full of fascinating detail. I see the large 'eye' on the gong, (is it a gong) a symbol seen in Buddhism and the US$, Freemasonry etc. -the 'all seeing' eye! A fabulously decorated interior which contrast quite starkly with the simple white robes of the worshippers. I would really like to see this.

Have a wonderful day dear friend. Rosemary
