Default Copyright symbol and Photoshop

Am currently working with Photoshop Elements 2.0 and am wondering if anyone can tell me how to add the copyright symbol onto an image without leaving the software. Might sound stupid, but at the moment I'm typing it in Word and then pasting it over ... but there has to be a better way.

Thanks in advance!

As Alain suggests, Alt 0169 usually does it for me.

In other words, press and hold the Alt key, and whilst still holding it down press 0 1 6 9 in order, then release the Alt. With luck a copyright symbol should appear :)

Other useful ones are Alt 0153 the trademark symbol and Alt 0176 for the degree symbol.

If you're working in Windows, you can find the "ALT" character codes by launching the character map found at start/programs/accessories/system tools/Character map. If the character map program does not appear you will need to run add software from start/settings/control panel/add programs/add windows components

I have a quick link to the character map so that I can get to it quickly for the characters I can't remember.

hope this helps.
